How does the inbox work?
Updated October 19, 2026
The Inbox brings your email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram conversations into one list. You read and reply from Breakcold, and each conversation is linked to the record of the person you're talking to, so their history is on the record too.
Step by step
- Open the Inbox. Until you connect an account, it shows Connect a channel: click it.
- Pick what to connect: Google, Outlook or IMAP for email, or LinkedIn, Telegram or WhatsApp. Then follow the steps for that channel.
Good to know
- When you connect an account, you choose how much past history to import. New messages arrive as they come in.
- Conversations link to records on their own when the email address, LinkedIn profile or phone number matches. See How do conversations get linked to records?
- The sidebar of the Inbox lists views: one per connected channel, plus Done, Archive, Trash, Scheduled, Starred and more.
