How do I hide or show a view in the inbox sidebar?
Updated October 19, 2026
Hide the views you don't use, such as Spam or a channel you rarely check, to keep your sidebar short. You can bring them back at any time.
Step by step
To hide a view:
- In the Inbox, right-click the view in the sidebar, or hover it and click ….
- Click Hide from sidebar. The view disappears from your sidebar.
To show it again:
- Click Manage hidden views, the … button next to the Views title at the top of the sidebar.
- The Hidden Views dialog lists every view you've hidden. Built-in views are tagged (System).
- Click Show next to the view. It's back in your sidebar.
Good to know
- Hiding only changes your own sidebar. Your teammates still see the view, and no conversation is moved or deleted.
- You can hide any view, built-in ones included, such as Inbox, Done or LinkedIn.
- When nothing is hidden, the dialog says No hidden views.
- If you hide the view you're on, the Inbox switches to your default view, or to Inbox.
- To remove a view for good instead, delete it: see How to save an inbox view. Built-in views can't be deleted.
