How do I migrate from Breakcold v1 to v2?

Breakcold v2 is a full rewrite of Breakcold. The migration copies your v1 organization into a new v2 organization: workspaces, teammates, contacts, companies, deals, tasks, notes, files and connected accounts. It takes between 5 and 45 minutes depending on the size of your data; the last step shows an estimate.

Before you start

• Pick your region. The v2 organization is created where you sign in: eu.breakcold.com (Europe) or us.breakcold.com (Rest of the world). See Which Breakcold address should I sign in to?
• Tell your team. Once you start, nobody can use the v1 organization anymore.

Migrate your v1 organization

1. Go to eu.breakcold.com or us.breakcold.com and sign in with the same email address as your v1 account.
2. Breakcold recognizes your v1 organization ("Hey - welcome back…"). Click Yes, let's migrate. Click Tell me more first for a summary, or Continue without migration to start fresh. If you own or manage several v1 organizations, choose the one to migrate now.
3. Workspaces: tick the workspaces to bring, then click Continue.
4. Teammates: tick who comes with you. Unticked teammates are not imported. Click Continue.
5. Connected accounts: your mailboxes and social accounts come over, but you'll reconnect them in v2. Click Continue.
6. Billing: check the price and the date your v2 plan starts, then click Looks good.
7. Confirm migration: check the counts, click Start migration, type the sentence shown ("I confirm these features are not present in v2.") and click Start migration again.
8. Follow the progress: Prepare data, Import into v2, Finalize, Ready. You can leave the page: progress is saved, and the migration picks up where it stopped when you come back.
9. Click Open migrated organization, then reconnect your accounts in Settings → Accounts.

Migrate another v1 organization later

1. In Breakcold v2, open Settings, then Records, and click Import history.

2. In the Breakcold v1 migration card, click Check v1 organizations. Breakcold lists the v1 organizations where you are an owner or admin and that haven't moved yet, then opens the same migration steps as above.

Good to know

• Billing: Breakcold keeps your payment details and subscription. You aren't charged on the day you migrate: your v2 plan starts at your next renewal. If v2 would cost more than you pay on v1, you usually keep your v1 price: the billing step then reads You keep your v1 price. Without an active v1 subscription, you choose a v2 plan after the migration.
• Teammates who don't have a v2 account yet get an invitation email, valid for 7 days. v1 owners and admins keep their role; everyone else becomes a member.
• Tokens: one month of your plan's tokens is added when the migration completes.
• Integrations: API keys, webhooks and Zapier or Make scenarios don't move. Create them again in v2: see API and MCP.
• If it stops, open the migration again and click Retry migration. It continues from the last saved step.

FAQ

Do I have to migrate?

No. Breakcold v1 keeps working at app.breakcold.com. Migrate when v2 has what you need.

Can I go back to v1 after migrating?

No. The v1 organization is locked once the migration completes.

I'm not an owner or admin of our v1 organization

Ask an owner or admin to migrate it. They can bring you along as a teammate.
