What moves when I migrate from v1 to v2?
Updated October 19, 2026
The migration copies the workspaces, teammates and connected accounts you select into a new v2 organization.
What moves
- People, companies and deals, with their fields, profile pictures and the links between them.
- Custom fields. v1 tags go into a Tags field.
- Lists and statuses. Each v1 list becomes a field named after it ("Clients" becomes Clients Stage, one option per status) and a board view with the list's name. A V1 Lists field tells you which lists each record was in. Statuses that weren't in a list end up in a Pipeline list.
- Tasks, notes and files (up to 25 MB per file).
- Meetings that have a recording. Only the recording comes over: the meeting page says "Only the archived recording is available from V1." There is no transcript, summary or AI insight for them.
- Teammates you select. Those who don't have a v2 account get an invitation email. v1 owners and admins keep their role; everyone else becomes a member.
- Connected accounts, as a list. Their sign-in can't be transferred, so you reconnect each one in Settings → Accounts.
What doesn't move
- Conversations and messages. When you reconnect an email or social account, choose how much history to import.
- Email templates.
- API keys, webhooks and Zapier or Make scenarios. v2 has a new API and an MCP: rebuild your integrations on them.
- Workspaces and teammates you didn't select.
- Features that aren't in v2, such as the engagement feed. See What is different in Breakcold v2?
After the migration
- Reconnect your accounts in Settings → Accounts.
- Find your former v1 lists as board views in People, Companies or Deals, depending on what each list held.
- Recreate your templates, webhooks and API keys.
