I signed in but Breakcold asks me to set up an account or pay
Updated October 19, 2026
If Breakcold greets you like a new customer (setting up an organization, choosing a plan, entering a card), it didn't find your account where you signed in. Check these causes in order.
1. You're at the wrong address
Each address is a separate place: eu.breakcold.com, us.breakcold.com and app.breakcold.com (v1). When your email has an account in the other region, Breakcold shows Account found on Europe (or on Rest of the world). Click Go to … to switch to it. Don't click Continue here: it creates a second, empty account.
See Which Breakcold address should I sign in to?
2. You signed in with another email address
Your account is tied to one email address. With Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft, the browser may pick another account than the one your team invited. Click Not you? Sign out, then sign in again with the right address.
3. Your account is on Breakcold v1
If you signed in to v2 with the email of a v1 account, Breakcold offers to migrate your v1 organization. Owners and admins can migrate it; other members see Go to Breakcold v1 and Continue on v2. To keep working on v1, use Go to Breakcold v1. See How to migrate from Breakcold v1 to v2.
4. Your team's trial or subscription has ended
When you see your workspace behind a message such as Your free trial has ended, Reactivate your subscription, Free trial expired or Subscription required, you are in the right place: the organization has no active plan. Your data is kept.
- Admins see the plan and can click Subscribe & continue. Some organizations can also click Try 7 more days (once every 6 months).
- Other members can't pay. Ask an admin of your organization to subscribe.
- Payment overdue means the last invoice failed: an admin clicks Pay outstanding invoice.
