How do I use quick replies in the Inbox?
Updated October 19, 2026
Quick replies are saved messages you reuse: an intro, a pricing answer, a follow-up. They're shared with everyone in your workspace.
Use a quick reply
- Open the conversation and click Reply.
- Click Quick replies under the message box.
- Search with Search quick replies..., or browse the categories (General comes first).
- Click a quick reply. It replaces what's in the composer.
- Edit it if needed, and click Send.
The list only shows quick replies for the conversation's channel, plus those set to All channels.
Save a message as a quick reply
- Write the message in the composer.
- Click the arrow next to Send, then Save as a quick reply.
- Type a Template name, for example "Follow-up reply".
- Click Save. It's saved for the channel you're writing on.
Edit or delete a quick reply
Open Quick replies and click ⋯ next to a quick reply:
- Edit opens Edit quick reply, where you can change the Name, Shortcut, Category, Channels (All channels or Specific channels) and Content. Click Save.
- Delete asks you to confirm: the quick reply is removed for everyone in the workspace.
Insert one with a shortcut
Give a quick reply a Shortcut (for example intro), then type /intro in the composer and press Enter. Unlike the Quick replies button, a shortcut inserts the text where your cursor is. Each shortcut can be used once per workspace.
Good to know
- Quick replies aren't available in notes.
- A quick reply is fixed text: it doesn't fill in each contact's name. Add the name with Insert variable after picking it.
- Formatting is kept in emails. On LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram, the quick reply is inserted as plain text.
