How do I schedule a message in the Inbox?
Updated October 19, 2026
Schedule a reply to go out later, for example during your contact's working hours. It works for email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram conversations.
Step by step
- Open the conversation, click Reply and write your message.
- Click the arrow next to Send, then Schedule send. In a narrow composer, it's in the More options menu (⋯).
- Pick a time: Tomorrow morning (9:00), This afternoon (13:00, or tomorrow at 13:00 if it's already past), Monday morning (next week's Monday at 9:00), or Select date and time for your own.
- Check the time zone shown under the title ("Choose when this message will be sent. Timezone: …"). It's the time zone of your Breakcold profile, or your computer's.
- Click Schedule.
See and change scheduled messages
- A Scheduled messages panel at the top of the conversation lists each message with its status (Scheduled, Sending or Failed) and its time.
- Edit & reschedule puts the message back in the composer. Change it, then click Update (or Cancel to leave it as it was).
- Cancel cancels the message straight away, with no confirmation.
- The Scheduled view in the Inbox sidebar lists every conversation with a message waiting to go out.
Good to know
- Replies only. You can't schedule a new message from the Compose window, a forwarded email or a note.
- No attachments. Remove them first: "Scheduling with attachments is not supported. Remove attachments to schedule." A recording in progress also blocks scheduling.
- An email needs at least one recipient in To.
- The message goes out from the conversation's account even if you're offline.
- If the account has reached its daily send limit, or the send fails for a temporary reason, Breakcold tries again later.
- If the account is disconnected, the message is marked Failed in the conversation's Scheduled messages panel, with the reason under it. You aren't notified, and the conversation leaves the Scheduled view. Reconnect the account, then use Edit & reschedule to send it again.
- A message that's Sending can't be edited or cancelled.
