Why wasn't my record enriched?
Updated October 19, 2026
Enrichment can skip a record, or a single field, for a few reasons. Most of them cost nothing: no tokens are taken when nothing is found.
The record lacks the input
Each data point starts from something the record already has:
- Work Email needs a first and last name plus a company domain (a website on the person or on their company).
- Search LinkedIn needs a work email.
- Phone needs a LinkedIn URL or a work email.
- Person metadata needs a LinkedIn URL.
- Company metadata needs the company's LinkedIn URL. A website is not enough.
In the Select enrichment targets dialog, Required information shows how many selected records are missing each input.
Other reasons
- Nothing was found. The data isn't always available, or a LinkedIn profile is private or no longer exists.
- The field already had a value. Email, phone and LinkedIn are not looked up again when the record has one. Other fields follow their overwrite setting, see How do I choose which fields enrichment fills?
- It is still in the queue. LinkedIn enrichments run at up to 50 per minute per workspace, so a large selection finishes gradually. A rate-limited lookup is retried on its own.
- Your balance was too low. A run that costs more tokens than you have doesn't start. See How much does enrichment cost?
- Enrichment is off. Check Enrichment by Object and the automatic triggers in Settings → Enrichment. By default, new people get Search LinkedIn and Person metadata only, not an email or a phone.
- It's a deal or a custom object. Only people and companies can be enriched.
- A run was already going for that record. A new request is ignored until it ends.
See what happened
- A field waiting in the queue shows a clock icon, and a field being enriched shows a spinner. Hover them for details.
- A field that failed shows a badge. Click it to see Enrichment failed with the reason, then Retry or Dismiss. Failure badges disappear on their own after 7 days.
- After a run from the Select enrichment targets dialog, you get one in-app notification: "Bulk enrichment completed", with how many records were completed, skipped and failed, and which inputs were missing.
FAQ
Can I cancel an enrichment that is queued?
No. Turning a trigger off only stops new runs. A run stuck for more than 24 hours is cancelled automatically.
Was I charged for a record that wasn't enriched?
No. Tokens are taken only for data that is found.
