How is data organized in Breakcold?
Updated October 19, 2026
Breakcold stores your CRM data in objects, records and fields. Each workspace has its own set, which you manage in Settings → Records.
Objects
An object is a kind of thing you track. Every workspace starts with three system objects: People, Companies and Deals. You can't delete them, but you can rename them or hide them. You can also create your own custom objects, such as Products or Partners. Each object has its own page in the sidebar.
Records
A record is one item of an object: one person, one company, one deal. In the list of an object, each row is a record. Clicking a record opens its page, with its fields, notes, tasks and conversations.
Fields
A field (also called an attribute) is one piece of information on every record of an object, such as a person's Email or a deal's Deal Value. Fields have a type (text, number, date, select…). You can add your own fields, mark some as unique to avoid duplicates, or compute them with a formula.
Relation fields
Relation fields link records of different objects. By default:
- a person has one Company, and a company has several People;
- a deal can have several People and several companies (its Company field);
- people and companies each have a Deals field that lists their deals.
You can add relation fields of your own, for example to link Products to Deals.
Views and pipelines
A view is a saved way to look at the records of one object: which columns show, filters and sorting. Views are shared with your whole workspace. A pipeline is a view shown as a kanban board, with one column per option of a select field. On Deals, the Pipeline view is grouped by Pipeline Stage. See views and pipelines.
