What happens to my data after I cancel?
Updated October 19, 2026
When a subscription or a trial ends without payment, the organization is locked: nobody can use it until someone subscribes again. Your data is kept, so you can pick up where you left off.
When data is deleted
An organization is deleted when both are true for more than 60 days:
- it has no active subscription or trial, and no paid period left;
- no member has signed in or used Breakcold.
The deletion is permanent. It includes every workspace, contact, conversation, recording and file of the organization.
The "scheduled for deletion" email
Before deleting anything, Breakcold emails the organization's owners 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before the date. The subject reads "Your organization is scheduled for deletion in 30 days" (then 7, then 1).
To keep your organization, do one of these before the date:
- Sign in to Breakcold. Any member's activity resets the 60 days, and the owners get an email confirming the deletion was canceled.
- Subscribe again from the billing page.
If you don't need the organization anymore, you don't have to do anything.
Good to know
- This is different from the email "Your organization will be deleted in 6 hours": that one follows a deletion an owner asked for. See How to delete your organization.
- Data that was already deleted can't be restored.
- Want to keep a copy? Subscribe again for a period, or export your contacts and deals before your access ends.
