How do I reconnect a disconnected account?
Updated October 19, 2026
When LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram or your email provider ends Breakcold's session, the account stops syncing and sending until you sign in again. Reconnecting keeps all your conversations.
Step by step
- Open Settings → Accounts. In Connected Accounts, check the Status column: Needs Reconnect, Disconnected or Archived means the account no longer syncs.
- Click the account to open its page.
- Click Reconnect Now in the Action Required: Reconnect Your Account banner. You can also click Reconnect in the Connection row of Account Details.
- Sign in again on the page that opens in a new tab: your LinkedIn email and password, the WhatsApp QR code, Telegram, or your Google or Microsoft sign-in.
- Back in Breakcold, the status turns to Connected or Reconnected.
Why accounts disconnect
- LinkedIn ended the session, for example after a security check or a password change.
- Breakcold was removed from Linked devices in WhatsApp on your phone.
- Your Google or Microsoft session expired or was revoked.
Breakcold also sends you a notification, such as Account needs reconnection.
Good to know
- Messages that failed while the account was disconnected show Error sending message, under them. After reconnecting, click retry? to send them again. If you see Could not retry this message., write it again.
- Conversations still missing? On the account page, click Force Resync in Inbox Sync. Stop Sync appears while a sync runs.
- An Outlook mailbox can show REST API is not enabled for this account. Click Show more info and pass the checklist to your Microsoft 365 administrator. Microsoft is temporarily limiting this mailbox sync fixes itself: Breakcold retries after a cooldown.
- When your subscription ends, accounts are archived automatically: LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram after about 2 days, email after about 7 days. Reconnecting an archived account uses an account slot again, and email accounts need an active subscription to reconnect.
