How do I generate pipeline stages with AI?

When a pipeline has no stages yet, AI can suggest them from a short description of your sales process: names, colors, and which stages count as won or lost. You review the draft before anything is added.

Step by step

1. Open a pipeline that has no stages yet, for example a new one grouped by a new select field. Click Generate With AI in the middle of the board. If the board has no Group By field yet, pick one in the list above the button first, or leave it empty and Breakcold creates a select field named Stage for you.

Describe, review and apply

1. In Build Your Pipeline With AI, describe your process in a sentence or pick one of the three suggestions under the text box.
2. Click Generate. After a few seconds, Manage Options opens with the draft stages under Generate stages with AI.
3. Review the draft: click a stage's name or the pencil to rename it, its color dot to change the color, Win or Loss to mark how it ends, the trash icon to drop it, and drag the handle to reorder.
4. Click Apply stages to add them to the field. Discard drops the draft: close the dialog and click Generate With AI again to try another description.
5. Click Done to keep the Win and Loss marks on this pipeline.

Good to know

• The AI suggests up to 12 stages.
• Stages belong to the field. Every pipeline grouped by the same field gets them.
• Win and Loss marks belong to the pipeline, not to the field: another pipeline on the same field keeps its own. On a pipeline of deals they feed the Won and Lost totals at the top.
• A board whose field already has stages doesn't show Generate With AI. Add stages by hand in Manage stages instead.
