How do I add, rename, hide or delete pipeline stages?
Updated October 19, 2026
The stages of a pipeline are the options of the select field it's grouped by. You change them in Manage Options, which opens from any column of the board.
Step by step
- On your pipeline, click ⋯ at the top of a stage column.
- Click Manage stages. Delete stage, lower in the same menu, deletes that stage at once, without asking.
- To add a stage, type its name under Add New Option and click Add. Click a stage's name to rename it, its color dot to change the color, and drag the handle on the left to reorder. These changes are saved as you make them.
- Mark a stage Win or Loss, set its win probability in %, or click the eye to hide it in this pipeline only.
- Click Done to keep the Win, Loss, probability and hidden-stage changes. Closing the dialog another way drops them.
Good to know
- You can also open Manage Options from Display: click the gear next to Group by.
- Stages belong to the field. Adding, renaming or deleting one changes every pipeline grouped by that field. Win, Loss, probability and hidden stages belong to this pipeline only.
- A hidden stage keeps its records: they stay in that stage, and come back when you click the eye again. They are left out of the totals while the stage is hidden.
- Deleting a stage doesn't move the records that were in it. Move them to another stage first.
- Win stages count in Won, Loss stages in Lost, and the others in Open, in the totals at the top of a pipeline of deals. The Daily brief uses the win probabilities of your default pipeline to weight its pipeline value.
