What are the daily sending limits and how do I change them?
Updated October 19, 2026
Every connected account has usage limits that keep your volume within what the platform considers safe. When an account reaches its daily limit, Breakcold stops sending from it until the next day.
Change a daily limit
- Open Settings → Accounts and click the account in Connected Accounts.
- Scroll to Usage Limits. Each row shows the action, Daily or Weekly, what was used today against the limit (for example 12/100), and the limit.
- Type a new number in the limit field and click Save, or press Enter. Daily limits saved confirms it.
- To go back to the recommended value, click Default.
A daily limit can be set from 1 to twice its default. Outside that range, Save stays greyed out.
The limits on your messages
| Channel | Row in Usage Limits | Default per day | Most you can set |
|---|---|---|---|
| Send emails (Gmail) | 100 | 200 | |
| Send messages to connections | 100 | 200 | |
| Send messages | 200 | 400 | |
| Telegram | Send messages | 500 | 1,000 |
Every message sent from the account counts, new conversations included, whoever in the team sends it. The email row reads "Gmail" for Outlook and IMAP accounts too.
The other rows are the platform's recommended volumes for other actions, such as Connection requests (invitations) on LinkedIn: 80 a day and 200 a week. Weekly limits are fixed and show Fixed weekly.
When the limit is reached
- The message isn't sent. You see an error such as "Account rate limit reached: daily limit of 100 reached".
- A scheduled message isn't lost: Breakcold tries again later, at least once an hour, until it can go out.
- Counts restart every day at midnight UTC. Weekly limits restart on Monday at midnight UTC.
Good to know
- Limits belong to the account, not to a person. On a shared account, your teammates' messages count too.
- Teammates who open the account see its limits with Owner only next to them. An archived account shows Archived and can't be changed.
- WhatsApp accounts can't go above 400 messages a day from this page. If you need more, contact support: Breakcold can approve a higher limit, up to 2,000 a day.
