How do I filter, sort and group my tasks?
Updated October 19, 2026
The Tasks page has three tools to narrow the list: the cards above it for quick filters, Filter for detailed conditions, and Display for sorting and grouping.
Step by step
- Open Tasks and click Filter. Pick a field, then a condition: Task origin, Assigned to, Created by, Due date, Linked to a resource, or a field of the people, companies or deals the tasks are linked to.
- Click Display. Turn on Show completed tasks to see finished tasks, choose what to Sort by (the arrow button switches between ascending and descending), and how to Group by.
Good to know
- Quick filter cards: Employee (open tasks created by AI employees), Active, Due today, Overdue and Completed. Each card shows a count that follows your filters and search. Click a card again to remove it. Completed shows finished tasks even when they're hidden.
- Search: click the magnifier next to Display and type. It looks in task names and descriptions.
- Several filters combine. When there are two or more, Clear removes them all.
- Sort by: Due date, Assignee, Creation date or Updated date. You can also click a column header to sort by it.
- Group by: No grouping, Assignee, Due date, Record, Creation date or Resource type.
- Your changes are temporary until you save them. When the list differs from the view, a dot shows on Display and a Save button appears next to the view name. Save updates the view for everyone in the workspace. The arrow next to it has Save as new view, which keeps the original. The quick filter card and the search are never saved in a view.
